This is a tales of Japanese Mythology. There are many gods and goddesses and creation myths. I enjoy reading about different cultural mythologies.

A retelling of the Shinto myths, or creation stories, that emerged throughout Japan. These beliefs did not develop due to a profit or from a sacred writing but rather the collected tales of stories of gods and goddesses told by the people of Japan and the Kami islands. The author addresses the slight regional variations of these oral traditions, conveying the holistic story. The introduction to this book offers history on Japan which I find very helpful and informative in providing a context for myself and readers. The end of this book provides a glossary, also very helpful.

B Great intro for young readers to the mythology of other countries than Greece. Very simple stories to whet young appetites with pictures/drawings to support them.
