Each story is unique, well written, and enjoyable. My favorite is Astrid Amara's No Life But This. ( )

Cherries Worth Getting, by N. Kimberling: An interesting world with two solid leads and a well thought out investigation. Would have loved a longer investigation to stretch out the romance. 4*

No Life But This, by A. Amara. A much longer story than the previous two. Loved the couple (although the romance most definitely played second fiddle to the plot) and the plot kept me interested and invested. 4.5*

Things Unseen and Deadly, by G. Hale. This took me an age to get into and I honestly thought about putting it down several times in the first chapter or so. I'm glad I carried on reading. The leads were engaging once you worked out what their story was, not true, Jason was engaging from the get-go but Henry took some warming to. and we got an extra helping of Gunther. I ended up really liking this one. 4* ( )

Cherries Worth Getting by Nicole Kimberling - ★★★★
This is a first Kimberling for me and I'm satisfied.
Definitely checking out more of her books.

Green Glass Beads by Josh Lanyon - ★★★★
It bothered me that we didn't find out why Rake was so sure Archer was still involved in criminal activities when we were told he wasn't :/

No Life But This by Astrid Amara - ★★★★
Also a first by this author.

Things Unseen and Deadly by Ginn Hale - ★★★★★
Oh this one was delightful. It reminded me that I need to read more Ginn Hale! ( )

Wow. This book was great! It was 4 not-so-short stories in one book that all revolved around the same world. I thought the 4 authors did a great job in capturing a world that should not make sense, but does. I really enjoyed reading it. It definitely felt like 476 pages, but not in a bad way. The first story was a bit icky (talked about cannibalism) but overall, this was great. ( )
