The main character is a young bear abd the author has likely been a parent of a preschool child. Theconstant questioing is very realsitic of a child this age. He asks his mother bear what she would do if animals in the zoo came down with certain ailments. Momma quickly has a reply of how she would treat each animal. The pages are wriiten in a short ABAB stanzas . The story quickly takes on certain reading gait ot fluency. It has a sing song rhythm that makes it playful and fun. Then the little bear gets to his deeper question of what his mother would do if he were the sick one. His mother tells him all of the elaborate measures she would take to ensure he get better. Her love for her son is clear and unconditional. The author chose animals that may to new to younger readers and thsi could be playful introduction to new zoo animals. It would be great to help students understand rhythm and rhyme. The illustrations are colorful and look crayola images drawn by a young child. I would recommend thsi book for K-1 readers. It is engaging and teaching questioning skills. It could be used as an example of If- then statements and what questions look like in the early grades. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
