The character of Anita is static and round. We learn about her throughout the story, through the action and the dialogue. She is a young girl who is celebrating epiphany with her family. She does not change throughout the story at all. She enjoys the holiday with her family, but her attitude, knowledge or emotions do not change much throughout the story. This picture book is a good example of a realistic fiction book. It is set in present day and has realistic characters which teach the readers about the tradition of Three kings day. The traditions and family interactions are realistic and tell the story of another culture.
