( ) This book is about three siblings who perform their cultural activities for Three Kings Day. This book is a good book to read to students to teach them about other religions and cultures. It is also an interesting book for the New Orleans area students to see the links between this Spanish holiday and the Carnival Season and the parallels between them. The character of Anita is static and round. We learn about her throughout the story, through the action and the dialogue. She is a young girl who is celebrating epiphany with her family. She does not change throughout the story at all. She enjoys the holiday with her family, but her attitude, knowledge or emotions do not change much throughout the story. This picture book is a good example of a realistic fiction book. It is set in present day and has realistic characters which teach the readers about the tradition of Three kings day.
