It has the same characters but instead of being mostly in Vivan’s head, we get into everyone’s head. Each chapter is from someone else’s POV. It bounces between the members in Vivan’s new seethe; Rafe, Jon, Drew, Asa, Paul and of course Vivan. It sounds confusing but it’s really not. I actually loved the way we got to see this story from all different angles. And it allowed us to get a better feel for all the other characters. But with the way it was written you really had to finish up a chapter before you could put the book down or you could forget whose head you were in. The Hunt has all the mystery and some of the sexiness that was in the Vampire Vacation. I say some of the sexiness only because there’s not as much sex scenes in it but that’s only because of the plot. Vampire Vacation was about Vivian and the gang at the Inn catering to the fun and fantasy needs of their guests. In The Hunt they are hosting a hunt where their guest has paid to hunt down a rouge vampire. So there’s more fighting and blood and less sex. But there is still hotness. After reading The Hunt and seeing a set up for a future mystery involving Vivan’s sexy werewolf servant, Jon; I can’t wait to read The Big Game. If you are looking for a sexy and snarky mystery I would recommend that you give this series a try. T he Hunt is very different from the first book, Vampire Vacation. While not as steamy as the first book, VAMPIRE VACATION, it is still sexy and suspenseful. Vivian has acquired a seethe, which she did not want to do. This small “family” of vampires, who joined her after the adventures of the last book, brings her a lot of new challenges. The arriving guests, most returning after their impromptu hunt in the first book, are excited to join the Tribunal sanctioned quest for a rogue vampire. Killing a trained enforcer is a deadly and difficult task but the risk makes it that much more exciting. There is a lot of mystery and intrigue as vampires and werewolves keep showing up dead. Is the rogue really rogue or is she being set up? Is there another killer lose and attacking the werewolves or is the rogue doing it? Can the additional members adjust to life in the seethe? Can the newer vampires accept their undead life? Will Vivian’s attraction to her werewolf servant, who’s madly in love with her, finally cause her to cheat on Rafe? What vampire powers has the human Rafe acquired? Just what dark secrets is Vivian hiding? Ellisson has made answering these questions both tense and entertaining. She has also set up a great story for the next book, BIG GAME. Heat Rating: HOT Rating: 4 Reviewed By: Jeanne Stone-Hunter This one was stellar, liked it even better than the first one, same dry funny humor, same witty dialoque but what was different was that got to see the story from multiple point of views! I enjoyed Asa's point of view and well as Joanna's in the beginning - and having others like Paul, Rafe and Drew pitch in made the story more surpising, in adition to Viv's narration as well. These books are funny and addictive, I know there are some short stories out for free grabs that are of the VV Inn world and I wouldn't mind at all reading those next! C.J. Ellisson has a fun way to present stories, but has this nitch for the gruesom and dark as well, when Viv gets upset it's not pretty. You'll like The VV Inn series if... you like your vampires powerful, intellegent and hot. ;) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The Ancients graciously send a rogue vampire to be hunted for a nominal fee. There are several takers and the games begin. Between the vampires, werewolves, Vivian's nemesis, the new members of Vivian's seethe and the ninja rogue vampire, Vivian's got her hands full for the course of this book.
The Hunt is definitely a book that is hard to put down. Between the tantalizing sex scenes that leave you squirming in your seat, action packed hunt and fights scenes, and all the espionage and conniving between old enemies and new foes, everything in this piece intertwines to make reading The Hunt a delight. As a twist in The Hunt, each seethe member reveals their own perspective of the plot as it quickly moves along, a challenge to write, I'm sure.
It makes me wonder, will the next chapter in Vivian and Rafe's life be a book about their vacation home? I can only hope! ( )
