It places perspective on sending a letter. I really liked the way the book had different stamps on each page. I will be including this in my classroom library. It will definitely be a good read aloud book for the class. I feel like this would go well with an activity that involves the students writing a letter to a pen pal. Overall, this was a really good read. ( ) This book is an excellent example of poetry, because the author uses sound, rhythm, and patterns to engage readers in the content of the story. Because of the nature of poems, the sentences are short, yet very meaningful and filled with large words. They story conveys the endless amount of work and effort postmen apply to their job of making sure each letter is delivered for one to enjoy. The author embeds brilliant rhyming and word patterns within the story in order to allow readers a deeper understanding of the emotion that lays behind mail delivery.
