Audiobook Review: Mine Until Dawn (The Fitzgerald Family, #2) by E.B. Walters (Author), Valerie Gilbert (Narrator) Mine Until Dawn emits high voltage electricity. With secrets hidden around every corner and an attraction waiting to be explored Jade and Vince are destined for trouble. The problem is figuring out how to survive the many live wires. Jade has been through her share of drama, now she's ready to prove that she deserves to wear the Fitzgerald name. When a mysterious stranger comes knocking at her door, danger follows. Vince is a cryptograph just waiting to be solved. He has an agenda and is willing to take whatever action necessary to see it through. Until danger puts his life and his heart at risk. Then all bets are off. Walters loves complicated and she brings Valerie Gilbert along for the ride. ( )

The second novel in the Fitzgerald Family series, this one is just as great as the first. The reader will love how close and protective the Fitzgerald family members are of their kin. This novel isn't some cheesy love story, the main topic isn't necessarily romance. This book contains mystery, action, drama, romance, and even a little horror. Readers who prefer different types of genres will still enjoy this novel. The reader will pick up new vocabulary and facts concerning kung fu and China, specifically concerning artifacts.
Jade is a strong, female character; female readers should enjoy this facet of Jade's character, there are not many strong-willed females in stories where romance is intertwined with the plot. Jade is fun to read about, the reader will feel as if he/she knows Jade very well by the end of the novel. Vince is a bit of an enigma; he makes for a great "hero". He is handsome, aloof, and persistent. Jade and Vince really pull the story together. The secondary characters all have various personalities, from the humorous to the scary to the cheerful; the reader will have fun reading about them as well.
The novel ends well, there are no cliff-hangers or disappointing last minute adjustments. The reader will look forward to the next book in this series. ( )
