This is a beginning book that informs students about several important concepts: symbiosis and animal partners.Both the Moral Eel and the Cleaner Shrimp need each other to exist. It is a fascinating exploration of just how these two different species co-exist in the ocean. Each page had a photo opposite the text that fills up the whole page. The color photos are excellent. The cover has a very colorful and exciting picture of a Moray Eel and a Cleaner Shrimp swimming side by side. The visual appeal of this book is high. If I was a student that needed to know about fish or Symbiosis, this would be a book that I would pick. Students are very receptive to learning about how we or other species interact with our world. The fact that the Cleaner Shrimp actually goes in the mouth of the Moray Eel will be a turn on for most students, especially boys. The grosser the better.
