Sadie’s Sukkah Breakfast is a very enjoyable book that teaches about the Jewish holiday Sukkot while portraying a great message to the young readers. I liked Sadie’s Sukkah Breakfast because it teaches about a not so popular Jewish in a very intriguing way to a young child. For example, the story states “How beautiful their sukkah looked! It was filled with paper chains, strings of popcorn, and fruit mosaics they had made in Sunday school”. Another reason I really enjoyed this book is because of how relatable this was to me and other young Jewish kids. For example, in the story it states “Sadie and Ori woke up early. It was the first day of Sukkot and they were too excited to sleep. They wanted to see if their sukkah decorations had lasted through the night”. I vividly remember waking up as a kid and being anxious if the decorations had lasted. This book also showed kids being resourceful when they didn’t have any guests to have breakfast in their sukkah. This is a great lesson for young children to learn to not give up. Sadie and Ori ended up inviting all of their stuffed animals as their guest. Overall, this book made me remember the feeling of being a kid and made me enjoy this book even more. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
