This novella is told from Jo Anne Montgomery's viewpoint.

Jo Anne finds herself in a strange place looking at a woman who shines bright and a need to mainline coffee.

Charlie Davidson wakes up to a ghost in her room, who can't remember what happened to her and quickly moves to figure out the mystery behind Jo Anne's death so she can move on.

I really enjoyed this quick slice of Charley's life and Reyes' cameo appearance. Sweet and touching with splash of Charley's particular brand of humor.

I love throwing a quick novella in the mix of a series. This one is very real. Unlike the murder mysteries, this was something that I could easily see any mother doing. Heartfelt. Charley, though the grim reaper, really does care about each of her ghosts. ( )

This was a fun little short story starring Charley. There wasn't a lot learned but we got to see a side of Charley where she's just helping some one pass through and wasn't trying to solve some bigger mystery. I also liked that it was told from the ghost's point of view so we got an outsider's look at Charley and her antics.
