I listened to the book twice just for her performance. ----------- Hellsteeth Black Black Middens Lovely Lovelies Granpa Heaven Eyes January Carr Mouse Goulane Erin Law chocolate sweetest thing of all shenanigans treasuring Let's eye grandpa digging Lovely as lovely I'm not really sure who I think the ideal audience is. I think it's a bit too "hard" for a middle grader but would a YA enjoy it? I tagged teen due to what it takes to actually absorb it all but it's not really what I consider a teen story. I picked up this book to study Almond's writing techniques but found myself so sucked into the story that I forgot to "study" as I read. No worries. I can go back through it later. This is such a strange and evocative story. Is it futuristic? Is it present day? Is Heaven Eyes real? Is Grampa evil? So many questions unfold and it's such a satisfying stroll toward the answers. A YA novel that will be enjoyed by adults as well. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Having escaped from their orphanage on a raft, Erin, January, and Mouse float down into another world of abandoned warehouses and factories, meeting a strange old man and an even stranger girl with webbed fingers and little memory of her past. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Opnieuw een mooi boek van David Almond, alhoewel ik "De wildernis" mooier en spannender vond. Maar dat komt misschien omdat "De wildernis" het eerste boek van Almond was dat ik las. ( )
