So well written that the reader feels such emotion for the book's hero, wrongly accused of being a pedophile. He follow him as he investigates what's going and why he's been framed like this. A brilliant read. One of Paul Adam's best. ( )

I read this in virtually one day, couldn't put it down. Very clever plot linking back to the 1980s miners' strike and more recent events (which I'm avoiding naming to avoid revealing any of the plot). History Lecturer Tom Whitehead is suddenly arrested and accused of downloading and paying for paedophile images on his work computer. He knows he's innocent, but those around him start to think there must be something in it as the evidence is apparently so strong. Tom is determined to prove his innocence and find out who and why someone is framing him. This has believable characters and plot, with many real locations in North Yorkshire with which I'm familiar which added to my enjoyment. Co-incidentally I had just seen Enemy of the State with Jon Voight, Will Smith and Gene Hackman the previous evening and it was great to read a gripping conspiracy thriller based in UK afterwards! ( )
