Two siblings (Kendra and Seth) end up spending time with their grandfather who is the caretaker of a place that is kind of like a sanctuary for magical creatures. Which the outside world does not know about. They do not find out about this until Kendra finds clues that were kind of like a puzzle, which ends up leading her to a note telling her to drink the milk that their grandfather just sets outside. She uses her brother as kind of a test subject and makes him drink it first, which allows them to see the creatures which some appeared as bugs that flew around the property. Seth tends to get himself into trouble where Kendra is more of the responsible one. And some rules of the place are broken, which causes them both to try to save and protect the place.
