Yes, I will explain that. On doodleday, your doodles come alive! So a drawing of a fly necessitates the drawing of a spider to eat the fly, which of course means you have to draw a bird to eat the spider, etc. My favorite was when the story jumped suddenly from cat to GIANT SQUID. And what's the only creature on Earth that can take down a giant squid? A mom. Duh. ( ) This was a very cute story. Where ever this family lives each year there is a day called doodleday and on this day any doodle that is drawn will come to life. In the beginning the little boys mother goes to the store and tells her son not to draw any doodles but her only explanation as to why he was not aloud to was because it was doodleday. Now like any child, like the child I was, he did it anyways. When he did his fly, spider, bird and giant squid all came to life and started to destroy the town. When the little boy was fresh out of ideas to fix the situation he screamed for his mom and she saved the day. As a child, I remember believing that my mom could fix anything and always be there to help. Honestly I still believe that and go to her for anything. The main idea of this book is just to reiterate that, and be relate-able to the reader that they can always count on their mom. Also that is very important to listen to your parents when they tell you not to do something, because even if they do not give you a reason there still is one. This is a silly book about a young boy's drawings coming to life on one day during the year called Doodleday. His mother warns him against it, but he makes a drawing and it all spirals out of control when he tries to fix it. His mom, of course, is the only one who can save the day. It is funny to see the boy's pencil drawings wreaking havoc on the town. This would be a good book for boys or girls. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
