Two orphaned cougar cubs go out one day and meet a stranger who claims to be just like them. He doesn't look like them. But the three of them have fun playing together all day. At the end of the day, they learn that you can have friends who look different from you. ( )

Cougar cubs meet another adolescent animal. They aren't sure about its different colors, fur patterns, and big eyes. At first, they make fun of it, then they realize they're lost in the dark. Thanks to the new animal's eyes, they're able to make their way home. In the end they realize that their differences are good.

The story itself is okay... The illustrations kill it, though. The message gets pretty lost-- the plot is a little wordy and the illustrations are too bland and two-dimensional. ( )

This book is a good book for small children. This book tells us about the importance of acceptance. The picutes are very different and fun to look at. Great book for a classroom to have for children to look at and read.
