While I’ll admit it doesn’t have the same charm as the author’s Babymouse series, this is still a solid choice for early graphic novel readers. A more slimy and green version of the series Babymouse, Squish follows the life of this funny Amoeba as he goes through his adventure of life all while trying to figure out his place in school and who he is as a friend. I would use this book in a 2nd-4th grade classrooms in a class library available for independent reading as this quick, engaging read would be a great confidence booster for young or struggling readers. Mentioned in a blog post at https://booksbeyondbinaries.blog/2020/07/20/chapter-books-whats-good/ (July 20th release) This would be a great book for readers who are beginning to read graphic novels and would be a good level for intermediate readers. The layout of the book is easy to follow if the reader understands how to read graphic novels, and there is not a large amount of text on each page. The story is fun to follow and it gives a good message to students who read the story. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
