"Pettersson's paranormal world is as original as it is compelling." --Kelley Armstrong "With a kick-ass heroine and characters who blur the line between good and evil, [Pettersson] will have readers panting for more." --Charlaine Harris, bestselling author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels Explore the dark supernatural underside of Sin City in The Neon Graveyard--the dramatic conclusion to the dark and terrific New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series by Vicki Pettersson. With this book, Vicki Pettersson has become one of my favorite authors. I knew the series was gold from the start, though I admittedly had my doubts about how the conclusion would pan out. But Pettersson surpassed my every expectation to deliver a satisfying and conclusive HAPPY ending. I'm ecstatic to report that Pettersson seems to subscribe to the same set of aesthetics that I enjoy. That is to say, it is perfectly okay if All The Bad Things happen to a character as long as the ending is happy. Such a pleasant surprise! Ever since Joanna lost her superpowers, I had been wondering how bad things would get for her or where it would enddd. It was a horrific trainwreck of terrible things happening and I couldn't look away because it just kept getting worse. I honestly expected Hunter would die and was prepared to write some fanfic (yes I am a hideous and unrepentant nerd) to rectify this. So very glad it was unnecessary. I seldom enjoy the canon ship in a series, but this one had me at hello. At first I was all for Joanna and Ben, but it quickly became clear that she was meant to be with Hunter. I must say that I enjoyed the realism present in the series despite all of its fantastical aspects.

In conclusion, Kim Harrison makes a recommendation for a reason! I am now a fan for life :) ( )

What a great ending to a wonderful series. Hopefully we'll see more by Ms. Pettersson! ( )

I started it in the afternoon and ended up finishing it in the wee hours of the night. I don't remember learning that Joanne was pregnant at the end of the last book, but she is in this book. Its also the end of the series. Joanne gets some of her powers back and rescues Hunter. Not a bad wrap-up to the series, the ending didn't feel rushed. ( )

As a 6th installment, this series is still interesting. Although it can be confusing with multiple characters and "powers" they storyline keeps me coming back for more. I read the very first book in the series as a free ebook on my first Kindle. It sat for a few months unread. Which was good as the story sucks you in and make you want to pick up the next one right away. ( )
