I love this book, and I can't wait to gift it to every new walker that I know and love! Marla Frazee is so much fun, and this hilarious step-by-step story is a great example of the way she writes FOR the children and their parents alike. ( )

This book is all about steps and tips for learning to walk for the first time. It focuses on babies, but has a message for readers of all ages.

Oh how precious. Of course babies about 10 months, the 'target' audience, will learn better without the book than with it. But, if read metaphorically, it could be seen as encouraging for anyone starting an endeavor or new stage of life. ( )

The illustrations in this book really draw the reader into the baby's world as he is making his first attempts at walking. The text interacts with the baby in the illustrations by giving him advice and coaching him to his first success as a walker.

I really enjoy Frazee's books, especially when she is the author and illustrator. I read it to my 20 month-old daughter and she enjoyed the illustrations so much. I don't think I have ever read a step-by-step book about learning how to walk from a baby's point of view. Great book. ( )
