I pushed thru it, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the title made me think I would. I think if the setting had taken place in Europe rather than Wisconsin it might have made the story stand out more. On top of that, I guessed the villain correctly pretty early on in the book. ( ) Am I getting pickier, or are the books just getting suckier? *sigh* This was a good book, just nothing stood out as being *great* about it. No edge-of-your-seat "omg omg!" can't put it down stuff. It was good, though. I had to shake my head at Bess, because come on, after like a hundred cases of defending someone because he's cute/handsome/sweet/etc, and being proven wrong, wouldn't she know better by now? And I admit I did suspect him for awhile, which is why when they "caught" him, less then halfway through the book, I kinda went "bwah??" cause obviously there was a lot more story left, but what? Which brings me to: Despite the lack of suspense/gripping-ness, I *totally* didn't see it coming. Finding out who the culprit was really took me by surprise.... it seems like in most ND books, when you finally read who-dun-it, you think back and all these subtle clues fall into place, but this time it was totally out of the blue. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
