A sweet and steamy read although it did lose some momentum at the end.
Eve and Nick have incredible chemistry and their banter is a highlight of the book. Eve certainly knows how to handle herself both verbally and physically. Thankfully there are no ridiculous misunderstandings or silly secrets, and the obstacles to their relationship come in the form of their own mutual stubbornness.
The resolution is where the weakness lies as if the authors had difficulty wrapping the story up. The inclusion of the
Nevertheless, Lord of Devil Isle is an entertaining read, but the book is probably not for those readers who prefer historical detail and accuracy in their historical romance. I will certainly be reading more from these authors in the future. ( )
