My book is titled The Tao Of Muhammad Ali. The authors' name is Davis Miller the main idea of this book was him describing how different aspects of Ali changed his life and him as a person. Davis miller was a skinny white kid from Pennsylvania when he first saw Ali fight, and from that moment on he was Ali's biggest fan. He took interest in martial arts in hopes of one day becoming anywhere near the level of skill that Ali had.

Muhammad Ali was a very complex person, he on one hand was the greatest boxer to ever enter the ring, on the other hand he was a civil rights' activist and a humanitarian. He is a very kind giving person and his way of life was strictly lived by his Muslim religious background. In the ring he was confident and talked more trash than any one person, but outside the ring he was humble and you would not be able to tell that he was as big of a celebrity that he was. If you asked ten different people who Ali was you would most likely get ten different answers.

The plot of this story is actually pretty simple. The point of the story is to explain how things in Ali's life affected Davis Miller’s life. The story explains different experiences that the author either has an encounter with Ali or one of Ali's colleagues. From these experiences he gains new perspective on some certain topic whatever that may be.

The setting of this book takes place in many American cities. There is a sort of below the surface reason to why they are in each place. It in some cases has a special significance to Ali in the sense that something important happened to him in that place. Likewise in other places in the story are important to Davis Miller and such.

The voice that the author uses is a first person narrative type of voice. I think that this is very effective in the type of story that he is telling because he is able to explain how he felt about something that was said or something that happened when he was talking about it in the story. I like this type of story better because I then can gather a better insight on the authors feeling at a particular point in the story

I think that this book is very good. I think that It was one of the better books that I have read. I gained a lot of perspective on Ali and even the author gave me a lot of detail of his own life so all in all I really enjoyed reading the book The Tao Of Muhammad Ali
