Chick-lit with a happy ending may sound a little dull, but this one has a few turns and twists that will keep you interested. The happy ending is not the ending you would expect (although it is hinted at throughout the novel) and Paula's path to it is, although meandering, quite endearing and oftentimes very funny. I may have gotten extra attached to the main character since her wanderlust is akin to my own, but I think a lot of people may enjoy her (sometimes faulty) logical reasoning. Some of the characters are quite stereotypical, but for chick-lit that's pretty much par for the course and it didn't detract too much from the story. ( )
