Watch that first step. It could turn your life upside down. Fragments, Book 1 Until a fall ended his Olympic diving career, John Andrews lived for the seconds he spent in the air. Now he's adrift on a college campus, grounded by paralyzing vertigo and double vision. Worse, he sees shimmering colors over everyone's heads. The last is hardest to ignore, and impossible when it comes to Mason. While sex with the hot, moody computer major gives John a rush as heady as diving, Mason's the only person John's ever seen surrounded by two distinct colors. Mason feels like a stranger in his own life. His lover is dead, and he drowns his guilt in bourbon and sex-until John's innocence reawakens the man he used to be. After Mason gives the young virgin a proper introduction to sex, he plans to send him on his way. But John sees too much to make things that easy. For John, their connection is more than just sizzling sex, it's something worth fighting for. The more he learns about the colors, though, the more he realizes the free-spirited Mason isn't free at all. John doesn't take second place to anyone-even the dead. Warning: Anyone wishing to read this title should be an adult, free from any condition that might be aggravated by the presence of a not-too-scary haunting, sizzling sexual chemistry, and angsty young men having mildly kinky sex. Other restrictions may apply. No additional equipment needed-unless you like that sort of thing.… (más)

I know this was not THAT good...but I must have been in the right state of mind to enjoy it a lot. And I do love a different sort of story :) ( )

I'm in a bit of shock over this one. It's really unusual to not feel an emotional connection between the MCs in a K.A. Mitchell book, but I kept waiting to feel it in this one, and it never came. I think Mason was so stuck on Alex and I hated how he treated John. And while John did ask for it sometimes because he kept going back full well knowing Mason wasn't letting go of Alex, I still don't believe it was ok for Mason to treat him the way he did. It seemed like he was using John. And the ending... seriously?! No apology from Mason? John didn't care there was no apology cuz they had kinky sex and decided to be boyfriends?! And neither of them really admitting or saying anything about their feelings except that they're boyfriends?! Nothing in this story really worked for me. ( )

Another great one - I was unsure about the whole "paranormal" part, but it was nicely done, and didn't interfere with the story and the characters at all.

B-.This story is a bit different from KA Mitchell's other works. For starters, there's a paranormal aspect to the story (a ghost) and then there's that the main characters are both much younger - I think they're both 21 or 22 and in college. John Andrews was an Olympic diver who had a bad fall and now cannot dive anymore. He has to work out what to do with the rest of his life and learn how to deal with people - he's been practicing/diving 12 hours a day for most of his life and he's inexperienced in the social department. Mason, the other main character, lost his true love the year before and his struggling to come to grips with being alive. (Guess who's the ghost?) I did enjoy this book (especially the angsty bits), (even though it wasn't my favourite KA Mitchell) and I'm looking forward to the next one in this series. ( )
