This book aims to teach kids the alphabet through the Star Wards movies. Each letter comes with a character and short sentence like "A for Anakin, Anakin is an amazing Jedi." Each sentence tries to use the letter's sound a couple times. To portray the letter and the shape, the book uses character photos from the movies and each letter has a different texture applied to it. The vocabulary is pretty advanced for an alphabet book. For instance, "Luke is a legendary Jedi; Princess Leia strives for peace in the galaxy." I think that, combined with the fact that kids who have seen and appreciated the movies have already learned their alphabet, makes this seems more like a novelty gif for your geek friend than an appropriate book for kids. Still, Star Wars fans will probably like it. For ages 5-7, or 29 and up. ( )
