Descripción:
Since RMA opened its doors in October 2004, we've hosted nearly 5,000 events, ranging from concerts by artists Laurie Anderson, Debbie Harry, Rosanne Cash, and Elvis Costello to talks with luminaries Lou Reed, Gloria Steinem, Peter Singer, Martin Scorsese, and Pico Iyer. We've watched Wim Hof demonstrate the power of "inner fire" meditation practice by immersing himself in 1500 lb of ice for 72 minutes (a world record); we've heard Tuvan throat singers serenade on 17th Street; and we've survived simulated overnight ascents of Mt. Everest up our high-altitude spiral staircase. Such a heady, energy-laden programming schedule has become a hallmark of the RMA in its short existence.
