I am very excited to publish a collection of my father's poems; he could possibly be the oldest first-time published Aussie poet at 84 years old. Sadly, my father now has Alzheimer's Dementia and resides in a Nursing Home in Townsville, North Queensland Australia. As the editor of his book, I find it a bittersweet pride in preserving the essence of his soulful words. Despite the shadow that Alzheimer's has cast upon his memory, his poetry stands as a poignant testament to a lifetime of wisdom and creativity.
