Gospel Talk

This is a group for those wishing to discuss any aspect of the Christian Gospels. Devotional, worship, scholarship, canonical, extra canonical - all approaches are welcome. I generally comment from the perspective of critical scholarship, but would very much like to hear those who would contribute more conservative and more devotional perspectives.

Any topic in Christianity or religion is acceptable, but the primary focus is to discuss the gospels and the ministry of Jesus.

The name is a blatant theft of an Internet discussion group, now defunct, started by Rev Bill Adams, formerly of Trinity Episcopal Church, Sutter Creek, CA. I had been active for some time in that group, and truly miss the discussion and the participants.

I will try to post, from the Episcopal Revised Common Lectionary (RCL), the upcoming Sunday's Gospel reading. But topics and discussion do not need to be limited to the weekly readings.
