All I can say, book, is that we're off to a rocky start.

First footnote:

"(1)In this book, the term religion has the meaning it has in Europe - that is, faith as an esoteric experience which does not go beyond a personal relationship with God and as such expresses itself only in dogmas and rituals. Accordingly, Islam cannot be classifed as a religion. Islam is more than a religion for it embraces life."

Now, isn't that just about what every religion claims? Just wondering, book, just wondering.

There's only just so much dogma a reader can stomach in the name of even-handedness before nausea sets in. Let's just say that I've a weak belly and further reading could have been seriously injurious to my health.… (más)
