- Aimée Dostoevsky was born Lyubov Fyodorovna Dostoyevskaya in Dresden, Germany, a daughter of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the Russian writer, and his second wife Anna. In 1913, after a trip abroad for medical treatment, she decided to stay, and never returned to Russia. She wrote a memoir, Dostoyevsky as Portrayed by His Daughter, originally published in 1920. Many researchers consider it unreliable. Her other works included the short story collection Bolnye devushki (1911), and the novels Emigrantka (The Emigrant, 1912) and Advokatka (1913).
