I'm beginning to think Max Lucado is going to hit a home run with every book. This one also rates 5 stars with me. Inspirational and motivating, it is written in an easy-to-follow style. I was sorry when I had finished it. I'll be looking for another one, soon. ( )

I read a few books from Mr. Max Lucado. After some books you start feeling that you know his style, you know his message. But this particular one touched me deeply in the sense that it shows that you should not waste your life in a meaningless way. You should make a difference, even if small, in the life of someone, showing that you care. Max manages through 16 chapters to stress the importance of making the difference. Illustrating each chapter with examples taken from the Bible and from his personal experience makes the reading very enjoyable. After each chapter there is a prayer that is related to what was discussed in that chapter. At the end of the book there is a Discussion and Action Guide carefully prepared by David Drury, with questions for discussion and ideas for actions related to each chapter of the book. Overall, another masterpiece from Mr. Max Lucado.
This book was written by Max Lucado in 2010 and published by Thomas Nelson and they were kind enough to send me a copy for reviewing through their Thomas Nelson Book Review Bloggers Program.

I just finished reading a wonderful book called “Outlive your life” written by Max Lucado
I received this book from Booksneeze in return for an honest review which I agreed to do
We all know that we are living in very troubled times There are people suffering and hungry. There are drugs and crimes and addiction but what if we could do something about it? .
Would we try? Could we, should we? This book will explain how it happens that we can make a difference. We all have choices and with our choices we make can reach out and change something for someone. We can make a difference. He explains how our own lives are a once in history opportunity to do something wonderful in the world. There is also a discussion and study/action guide in the back of the book for each chapter. He talks about reaching out and helping the needy and he even has a chapter entitled "Don’t write anyone off” which hit something in me personally. Max share all kinds of good examples from the Bible throughout the book.
We need to read more books like this so we can be encouraged to outlive our life.

One hundred percent of the author royalties from Outlive Your Life products will benefit children and families through World Vision and other ministries of faith-based compassion.
