I think I had to read about a third of the book before I stopped having an attitude about it. Once the monkey business in Chinatown got under way, I enjoyed the book more, and the bits of Chinese mythology she brought into the story were fun. I'm tired of Roman, though, and the "long game". For such a big bad scary dude, he sure walks away from fights pretty easily. I hope he's not the built-in baddie for much longer. I've had my ups and downs with this series, but I'm still invested in the characters enough to see what happens next. I'll eventually pick up the next one. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
When her investigations into Wyatt Earp, vampire hunter, and the government's use of werewolves in combat lead her to San Francisco, Kitty Norville, along with her friends, becomes a pawn in the supernatural Long Game, which has been played by vampires through the millennia. I really liked the further world-building that went on, and the implications that all those stories of beings out there are more than just stories. And I am extremely intrigued about how Vaughn is going to wrap up The Long Game. ( )
