To be fair to this book I didn't realise it was volume 4 of a series until I finished it. However, it made very little sense to me. Characters appeared from nowhere who had implicit connections to others. I didn't really understand what happened in the final showdown. The individual backstories were OK but the main plot was all over the place. (

A lot of this volume revolves around Bette and her feelings of responsibility for Plutonian's actions. We also get a look at those who will be responsible for Plutonian's eventual (hopefully) downfall and their origins. I liked seeing how Max Damage and Jailbait met, it was definitely interesting. (
