Second in a series. Character is still on the run. This time gets in accident with trucker and teams up with some teens to avoid the police. ( ) Casey Jones is on the run from the company that manufactured the defective car that killed her husband and son. That is a carry-over from the first novel. (Grim Reaper's Dance is part of a series). She is hitchhiking around the country, and apparently runs into mystery adventures on her travels which she tries to solve while remaining under the radar. She is wanted for the murder of one person in Louisville and questioning in the death of another in Clymer, OH, so she avoids law enforcement at all costs. Death personified is her sidekick, but she's the only person who can see him. He is a whiny, music-loving character that comes across like a young twenty-something. He twangs rubber bands in his teeth, plays African drums, tiny violins, and sometimes helps Casey with her investigating. Casey hitches a ride with a trucker, and they are in an accident caused by men after some papers they believe he has in his truck. As he is dying, Wayne asks Casey not to let the men get the documents. She hides the papers and looks for answers to the mystery of Wade's murder. This was not really my thing. It read more like a YA novel than an adult book. (That's not a bad thing, just an observation. I like YA.), and some of the scenes were just unrealistic. The mystery itself was a little "Scooby Doo-ish." sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
