In my opinion this is a great book. The first reason I think it is great is the writing. It is very engaging because it is patterned from the rhymes presented throughout. One line from the book was, "5 clever chimps waited high in the trees and watched while the zookeeper searched for his keys. I think that the rhyming made the book very interesting and flow very well. Another reason I like the book is the illustrations. The pictures throughout the book are interesting and colorful. Each time an animal is presented, the number that are written are shown and they are doing what is written. The illustrations are a bit messy but that makes them more appealing in a way. The main idea of this book is to always seek adventure because you will find some interesting things. ( )

This fanciful romp stretches the limits of the traditional counting book. A boy counts off the crazy things he SWEARS he saw when he sneaked into the zoo before it was open.

This was a great counting book that had a little more meat to it. The story was of a crazy day at the zoo, where the animals got out of their cages and did "zany" things. It was a very funny and creative story!
