Third in the Titus Crow series, but since it picks up with different main character, it's not necessary to have read the first two -- or wise, IMO. This is pretty dull and dumb stuff. Lovecraft's Cthulhu recast as adventure, with characterization of men and women straight out of The Nightland. The men are superheros and the women are usually naked and in peril. There are good Elder Gods and bad ones, but they all sound like comic book characters.

These is the third novella in Lumley's series that features the time-and-space traveling Titus Crow. In this adventure, Titus and his love, Tiania are in trouble in the land of dreams; and Titus' friend must navigate the time-clock to attempt a rescue. There is a Cthlulu element in play in the Titus Crow series; and have a pulpy adventure feel to them. Fun and imaginative. ( )
