This books discusses Christopher Columbus' difficulties discovering the New World. IT describes his younger life and how he always dreamed of sailing. It wasn't until he was forty-one that he able was to get ships and a crew and be able to sail off into the deep sea. The pictures in the book are very interesting and detailed but only black and white. Not a bad book if you want to learn about Christopher Columbus and some facts that you wont learn in a history class. It is a great introduction book for younger students to read. I learned a lot about how Columbus sailed around the earth and founded the New World. This biography on Christopher Columbus shows how he was a great explorer. While traveling around the world he discovered many things, like the New World. He had lots of troubles during his travels, but he was able to get through them. He accomplished many things during the time he was alive. This book has a lot of great information on Christopher Columbus, and I would definitely read it to my students. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Christopher has done and seen a lot of things in his life time. He also went to many different places as well such as Ireland, Iceland, Spain, San Salador, Hispaniola, Cuba, Jamaica, south America, Interesting fact about him is that he made maps for sailors. He had three ships called the Nina, Pinta, and the Santa Maria. He had four voyages to the New World. He believed that he had reached the East but he didn't but he had changed the world by making his voyages. ( )
