Krupp shares smart, easy ways to hide arm flaps, big busts, muffin tops, back fat, Buddha belly, booty, wide hips, thunder thighs, heavy calves--and that's only half the chapters. She also looks at special problems like how not to look fat in work-out gear, evening wear and even in a swimsuit!

Some of the examples are good, others are not. The 37 things she wishes she knew sooner and she'd be thinner are somewhat inane. It's never too late for somewhat to eat healthier. Take the book with a grain of salt. I liked the before and after pictures of the women in the book, but not the examples of the women in hollywood. I think the book would be better showing more women NOT in the public eye that so many women seem to compare themselves to. Only compare yourself to yourself and listen to your inner self and be comfortable in your own skin. ( )

This book was fairly interesting to read, and showed many different ways to disguise various figure flaws such as a big tush, big bust, big belly, flat chest, etc. It is nicely illustrated and fairly well written.

I gave it only 2 stars because although the material is well presented and seems well though out, it did not tell me anything I had not read in many other places. There were no startling revelations, just things along the lines of "don't wear big horizontal strips if you have a big rear."

Very nice attempt, but nothing new here.

The title is horrible and the content isn't much better. I thought there were a few good tips but there was too much work required to find the useful bits. Also Shapewear is a common suggestion, not exactly what I was looking for. ( )

I wanted this book because I thought it would be similar to the ones put out by that British duo that ambush people on the street and do makeovers (I read one of their books and was happy with their straightforward advice). This book doesn't measure up.

There is way too much time spent talking about things that go beyond clothing that just seem misplaced (like talking about plastic surgery or chemical peels and other such things--things that are barely on the radar of most women in Canada, but the book's content seems to suggest are common in the US). Also, there are so many name brand products and stores mentioned throughout the book that publisher even puts a disclaimer right in with the copyright notice that the author did not have any endorsement deals before the book was published.

In the end, I didn't find it very useful or interesting to read. I am not American and therefore the brands and stores mentioned by the book are irrelevant to me. ( )

When I saw the title of this book, I thought this is for me!! But you know, you rarely get something for nothing. You can camoflage some things but bottom line, you have to lose it, not just confuse. It has lots of hints regarding colors and styles, what to avoid and what to use to your advantage. I liked the book enough that I got her previous book on how to look younger, from the library. The one thing I would have to find fault with, since I do not live in the USA, is that her "Brilliant Buys" are all for stores there. I will be keeping this book for future reference.
