The wealth of medical information available to breast cancer survivors is sometimes misleading, and often far too complex for the average patient. There has long been a need for an easy-to-read through "breast cancer primer" that could explain the disease in a way that the vast majority of breast cancer survivors could grasp. This was the objective behind "I Flunked My PSA!" "I Flunked My PSA!" was written by Dr. Ernie Bodai, a nationally renowned breast cancer surgeon who pioneered the U.S. Postal Service Breast Cancer Research Stamp Program. However, Dr. Bodai is also a prostate cancer survivor who has become an expert in the disease that nor confronts him. "I Flunked My PSA!" is the second installment in a two-part cancer education series published in conjunction with Dr. Bodai's nationwide "Screen Together ... Live Together initiative to promote cancer screening among partners. The first book, "I Flunked My Mammogram!" covers breast cancer. "Our objective is simple," says Dr. Boadi. "We want to help each cancer survivor fully understand the disease they now confront, and then to outline the myraid treatment options that my be open to them on their own personal road to recovery."
