The author uses idioms throughout that make the main character (Amelia Bedelia) funny and endearing. In the beginning, Amelia loses a list of people that she was supposed to use to invite people to a party. She decides to blindly use a stack of Valentines Day cards to find the people she was supposed to invite. Throughout the book, Amelia takes the literal meaning of each card. This leads her to find many new friends making the party is a success. ( ) There is nothing like the original! Yes, currently you can find a new, younger Amelia Bedelia on the bookstore shelves, and the story is cute, but when it comes to sharing a mixed up Valentine's Day story, I would choose the original any time! Here is Amelia in classic form: somehow the list to a Valentine's Day party is lost, so Amelia works to fix things in her own mixed up, wacky manner with hilarious results. By all means check out the new book [b:Amelia Bedelia's First Valentine|6388480|Amelia Bedelia's First Valentine|Herman Parish|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512KfAVTXrL._SL75_.jpg|6576774], but be sure to pick this one up too! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
