After Sarah's divorce and the death of Meg's husband, the two move to Hemlock Falls, a small town in New York to run a bed and breakfast. The individual stories can be charming in a screwball sort of way, but I find them dull after a while. Either things stay infuriatingly the same, or they change in a bizarre abrupt fashion; there is no real development. Of course, my disinterest in gourmet cooking doesn't help. The volumes usually include at least one recipe. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

A Dash of Death

Picked this up at Bookstop because the back cover synopsis read that the protagonists were two sisters who run an upstate NY inn together. It sounded wonderful. It was okay, but a little disappointing. Told from the POV of only 1 sister, mostly. Not enough sisterly interaction, and not quite “cozy” enough. Not the atmosphere I was expecting. I bought two in the series, but I won’t read the other one right away. (
