I was glad they didn't have a "and everything went back to the way it was before the event" kind of ending. I knew the Joker would show up eventually and when he did it was great. From looking at the reviews, seems a lot of people either liked this tale or hated it. It seems most of the geek fanboys hate (I mean the people really into the DC Universe). I come to these comics as more of a casual reader. I like the tales, often pick some compilations like this one out of curiosity or because they seem interesting. This one seemed interesting. I did not rank it higher because it is fairly convoluted. A lot is happening in the story and in the panels. While it is a quick read, you do have to pay attention as you read it. And if you are a casual reader like me, there will be things you may miss. I am sure I missed a thing or two (and that is ok. I can always go back and reread it). But at the end of the day, the story did wrap up well enough. The summaries were a bit lengthy, but helpful for the casual reader who has not read all of of the other parts in the series. I am curious about other parts, so I will likely go find other compilations in the series. So, overall, I liked it. I was able to follow the story and get a sense of what came before. As a disclosure note, I have not read Crisis on Infinite Earths. However, this volume gives you enough background that you can follow the story if you have not read the previous series. But it does make one want to go find the other work, which I will. If you like a very fast paced story, this is definitely it. It immerses you from the first page, and it does not let go. I read this in one sitting. As a final sidenote, my paperback edition has a different cover than the one GR provides with the ISBN. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

OMAC robots are rampaging, magic is dying, villains are uniting, and a war is raging in space. And in the middle of it all, a critical moment has divided Earth's three greatest heroes: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. It's the DCU's darkest day, and long-lost heroes from the past have returned to make things right in the universe?at any cost. Heroes will live, heroes will die, and the DCU will never be the same agai No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
