Poor Sam the lamb had a cold. He went all over town trying to sneeze but never could get it out. He asked his friends around the farm to help. They individually tried to make Sam sneeze but couldn't. After they all worked together to get Sam's sneeze out and then, he sneezed the loudest sneeze they had ever heard. ( )

This story is good for an independent read for beginner readers. I wouldn't read this story as a read aloud. I think younger children would find this story amusing ( )

Really sweet story about Sam the lamb who is searching the end of his sneeze. When he sneezes it is a "Baa-Haa" not a "Baa-Choo". His farm friends help him to sneeze in various ways and he finally sneezes the biggest sneeze, that raises the roofs and shakes the trees.
Cute rhyming and pictures. It is sure to grab the kids attention. Good for teaching about getting colds and how to keep from spreading them. pk-2 ( )

This is a rhyming easy reader that features a story about a lamb who has a cold is trying to sneeze. He has the ahhhh but not the choo. In the end, he finally sneezes a great and powerful sneeze that "shook the trees."

I thought that this was a very cute book that is bound to keep children's attention. The rhymes were very engaging and the pictures are very fun.

I would use this book in the classroom and have students draw in their journals what they got from the story so see how much was taken in. I would also discuss why people get sick and common ways to prevent colds such as washing your hands and not drinking after people. ( )

This is a cute book written in rhyming phrases. The story is about a sheep who needs help from all his friends to finally finish a sneeze.

K-Gr. 1. Sam the lamb has a cold, but he can't sneeze. He's on the verge; he's got the ahhh. But he can't do the choo. The rhyming nonsense words and colorful, comical barnyard pictures show various animals trying to help Sam end his sneeze, which he finally does in a rip-roaring sneezy climax "that raised the roof and shook the trees." Now that's power. Then there's the joke on the last page, when Sam thanks his friends: "Bless you!"
