There are a lot of interesting places with neat histories featured in this book. My biggest problem with this book is that Ms. Starr seems to place a lot of evidence in orbs, which to me seems so sketchy. Otherwise, an excellent book, whether you believe in ghosts or not. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Fascinating look at the history right outside my front door. A truly enjoyable read for all of those that enjoy things that go bump in the night. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The hills and hollows -- and cities -- of the Bluegrass State offer excellent opportunities for the ghost hunter. Guide Patti Starr leads readers on a tour of 30 legendary haunted spaces in Kentucky. She snoops around creepy farmhouses and grim garrets, eerie rooms and dark corners, exposing the ghosts and recording first-hand accounts of terrifying encounters. Clear maps and photographs help readers locate each dire destination, while more sensitive souls can enjoy experiencing these visits from the other side from the safety of their armchair. A lot of the information provided was about other people's experiences, with some ghost hunting information. The ghost hunting information provided some of which is very different from what is given by other ghost hunters, such as orbs being spirits which has been primarily discredited by other researchers (usually dust, artifacts, etc), and doing hunts in broad daylight.
Very odd, I'm really not sure how to feel about this book. I'm not sure who the target audience is. ( )
