Overall, this was a solid ending to the trilogy. It was a bit over the top with all the love stuff (which was why I didn't give it five stars) but very clean and good for younger readers of Christian fiction. (I remember enjoying this one when I was 14.)

Content: nothing to worry about, maybe some kissing

This story was about Jolene Yoder, an Amish schoolteacher who become deaf after a car accident her and her cousin's were in (from book one). Jolene had left her home in Indiana to learn sign language and reading lips, but now finds herself moving back home to teach two deaf children in the school. While there she will find herself teaching many more folks who want to learn how to communicate with her. She will also try to teach Lonnie Hershberger how to sign when an explosion causes him to lose his hearing. Together these two will learn to "listen" to their hearts and admit their love for each other.

I also liked how this story tied up some loose ends in other character's lives in this series. Ella Miller, who I had a hard time liking, will finally find love, as will Eunice, a young lady who needs to learn to stop chasing men and let someone find her. ( )

This is the third book in this series and I have enjoyed it.

This is the story of mainly 2 cousins. After a tragic accident has left one of them deaf and the other one brokenhearted. Jolene and Ella find that their decision of not getting married doesn't really have to be it.

Jolene comes back after a couple of years to help two young children learn how to read lips and sign to be able to communicate. Once there Lonnie has an accident that leaves him deaf and despite his stubborn and hurt heart he finds a friend and more in the Jolene's friendship and help.

Ella who grew up having feelings for Jake, but feeling hurt has found that the more he pushes Jake away her heart is still attached to the young boy she gave it to a long time ago.
Is a story full of Hope, Faith, Trust and Love for oneself and God that brings this sweet story to the conclusion. She will be hooked once you start reading it that you won't want to stop. Several stories but we'll put together that you don't feel lost for the storyline but for the story to be finished.

Highly recommended this series for the Amish reader as well for someone that needs a little pick me up of Hope. ( )

I won this in a First Reads contest! I've given it to my younger sister, Caitlin, to read -- when I saw this book I thought it looked exactly like something I would have loved at her age.

Unfortunately, she found it really difficult to get into, as the storyline just didn't hold her attention. She ended up dropping it for another book I gave her, [b:A Wrinkle in Time|18131|A Wrinkle in Time (Time Series, #1)|Madeleine L'Engle|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1202853583s/18131.jpg|948387], which she loved!
