It is about a dance with ghost, skeletons, and more Halloween like characters on Halloween. They dancing and rhythms become so loud that the people in town come to the cometary. They all end up dancing together until the dawn. Personal Reaction: I enjoyed the book, and the children i read it to also enjoyed it. The ghosts and ghouls and other Halloween type of characters make moans and noises and the children liked to copy them. The illustrations are cute too. Extension Ideas: This book is for fall/ Halloween. Students could following along with the dancing and rhythms that the characters make and have a dance party of their own. They could also recreate the characters in the book by drawing or painting them or with construction paper. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Pairing a well-constructed rhyming text from author Sylvia Andrews with colorful, cartoonish artwork from illustrator Jennifer Plecas, Rattlebone Rock would make an excellent read-aloud selection for a Halloween story time. The use of onomatopoeia, and the humor in the illustrations, both add to the entertainment. Recommended to picture-book readers looking for Halloween stories with just a little bit of spookiness, and a whole lot of fun. ( )
