They almost seemed too real. It's about the house that Dracula built, which contains scary things like zombies in it. Trick-or-treaters surprise the house guests and cause a bit of confusion. I would share this book around Halloween because of the scary drawings. I got the pleasure of reading this book to a group of 4th grader. I taught them the meaning of the word 'spoof' and read the book that is associated to this one. The enjoyed the Halloween twist because it was during the week of Halloween. The illustrations were detailed to capture and intrigue the students. They were not brightly colored but had shadows and wrinkles making the monsters realistic. The story had original details but still followed along the path of its inspiration, The House That Jack Built by Rodney Peppe. I would definitely recommend this book for a read aloud lesson. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
