This is a book of poems that talks about a poets "tools", such as rhyme, imagery and form. This is not the esiest book to understand. Some kids may need help understanding the concepts. A book that could be out during a poetry unit. ( )

This book is full of catchy little poems about animals that children will love and can relate to. This book also contains a toolbox at the bottom of each page teaching you about somethings within poems such as similes, imagery, rhythm, and translate.

Reminded me of my pets as a child and a little bit of English because of the toolbox.

Good book to help introduce children to poems and other poetical terms using the tool box. Maybe the students could choose an animal of their choice to write a poem about.
