An adorable little story that maintains your interest throughout the entire book. Though, all in all, the ending was a bit pat. ( )

Passable late-period Pohl (1989). An alien ship with one human they have raised heads toward Earth to straighten the planet out. Besides global warming and higher sea levels, a brief war has left the planet surrounded by a cloud of debris that makes space travel close to impossible, at least for human technology. Are the aliens really here to help? What's the human agenda? Will our hero figure out which side he's on?

Not unreadable, just not that interesting. ( )

Had difficulty with this book. Couldn't really sympathize with any of the characters,the story was too unexplained, and I just didn't understand. I gave up after about 70 pages or so. ( )

Good characters. Enjoyable positive sci-fi of strange aliens and humanity recovering from its own mistakes. ( )
