A goblin who exiles himself because he doesn't want to frighten people, shows his tender heart when he encounters a family grieving. He helps on on the farm, in the garden and consoling the daughter, all while keeping hidden. However, every night he is seen by the family. One day, the family looks at the chair that has been empty all winter and set a place for the goblin. The goblin sees this and still hides. When the family gets up to ask him to join them, the goblin stops them and joins them. This is a wonderfully done picture book about grief, acceptance and healing. This book is a story about acceptance and looking past appearances to see all the great things someone can do. The goblin is accepted by the family because he cares for them and they appreciate his talents. This book would be good to read to any elementary-aged children because it is simple and interesting but teaches a deep message. It would be especially helpful to young children to teach them that although people may look different, they all have something to contribute to the classroom. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
