Calvin in this volume moves from chapters thirty-three to forty-eight in his commentary on Isaiah. In this edition he covers the narratives of Hezekiah and the deliverance of Jerusalem, and start to cover the post-exilic and New Heavens and New Earth hope that lies in the salvation of our God. Calvin once again breaks down every verse, even going back to the original Hebrew at times to gives us a full and complete picture of what he believed this prophetic book had to say to his medieval world. And not to just the medieval world, but his teaching stretches on and becomes just as relevant today as it was hundreds of years ago. The judgement and hope of God is found within this teaching and we can all take something away from it if we listen.
